What is Title I

Title I – Improving Basic Programs

The Title I program is designed to help children meet high academic standards by participating in Schoolwide assistance programs. School-based decision-making, professional development, and parent involvement are important components of the Title I program.  Schoolwide Assistance Programs use Title I funds to upgrade the entire educational program of the school. Title I funds can be used to serve all children in a school-wide program.

Schoolwide End of Year Evaluations are completed annually to review and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of programming, strengths/weaknesses, and possible improvements or recommendations.

WHAT IS TITLE II
Title II – Teacher & Principal Training & Recruiting

The purpose of Title II is to increase the academic achievement of all students by helping schools and districts improve teacher and principal quality and ensure that all teachers are highly qualified.

Title II provides flexibility to address challenges to preparation and qualifications of new teachers, recruitment and hiring, induction, professional development, teacher retention, or the need to train effective school leaders.

The Clever R-V School District uses Title II funds for staff professional development in core curricular areas, technology, leadership development, and class size reduction.
