Winter Weather

Clever School District is closely monitoring the upcoming winter weather forecast, which may impact our area starting tomorrow morning and continuing into early next week. While the chance for winter weather tomorrow morning is very small, the timing of any snowfall and road conditions will play a big role in the decision to cancel school. We do ask that you begin making plans in the event school should need to be canceled.

Due to the expected timing of precipitation tomorrow and next week, decisions regarding potential school closures may be made early each morning. District officials will monitor the forecast and the road conditions closely. Again, we would like to stress the possibility of snow in the morning remains small.

Our goal is to inform families and employees as quickly as possible if the decision to cancel classes is made. Typically, messages will be sent by 5:30 a.m. on the day of a necessary closure.

As a reminder, we have already used two of our three snow days which were built into our calendar.  The next canceled day will utilize our third built-in day.  Subsequent days will then be AMI days (up to 4). You can find AMI information here.

If the decision is made to cancel classes, families and employees will be notified using the following methods:

  • Phone call
  • Text message
  • Social media
  • Website
  • News media
