The Clever R-V School District is seeking a full time paraprofessional for the Early Childhood Preschool department for an immediate opening for the 2022-23 school year.

6 college hours AND
Substitute teaching certificate, 60 hours of post-secondary education or completion of appropriate Praxis certification.
Meet all legal standards as required by the district, state and Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services Section for Child Care Regulation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work under the direct supervision of a lead teacher when providing instructional services.
2. Should have an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and assist students to complete instructional activities on a daily basis.
3. Assist in managing the behavior of students.
4. Must exhibit effective communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
5. Assist in the supervision of students to meet individual needs and implement IEP goals (if applicable) and/or objectives.
6. Provide physical assistance based on student needs such as: lifting, transferring, moving from class to class, feeding, toileting, physical intervention.
7. Participate in training activities as required by the District.
8. Perform other duties as directed by the principal or supervising teacher, which are related to facilitating success (i.e., instructional, social, behavioral) for students.
9. Supervise students during non-instructional times in the day, such as during the lunch period, when students are entering or leaving buses, while otherwise on school premises, and including duty before/during/after school.
10. Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law.

The Clever R-V School District is seeking a full time nurse for an immediate opening for the 2022-23 school year.

1. Current RN License or LPN License; the supplementation by a minimum three years of nursing experience is preferred.  RN License is preferred.
2. Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in the methods, techniques, and procedures used in nursing practice.
3. Current CPR certification.
4. Good communication skills: ability to work with students, faculty and general public in a diplomatic, friendly, and efficient manner.
5. Sincere desire to work with children/adolescents in the school setting. 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Operations and/or Special Education Director 

JOB GOAL: Assist in providing the fullest possible educational opportunity for each district student by minimizing absence due to illness, promoting a climate of health and well-being in District schools, and treatment of health related issues. 

1.  Maintain all student health records as appropriate.
2.  Maintain and update students’ emergency information.  
3.  Develop emergency action plans as needed.
4.  Prepare health care plans for significant health problems and advise teachers of special care needs.
5.  Perform screening programs to identify problems with vision, hearing, scoliosis, and dental.
6.  Complete an annual audit of health records for immunization compliance.
7.  Develop and utilize appropriate communication.
8.  Prepare annual health reports as required by the District and State.
9.  Maintain log of health room visits.
10.  Prepare and file incident and accident reports.
11.  Assess student illnesses/injuries; make decisions in terms of immediate care and disposition.
12.  Perform physical assessments to evaluate student complaints, make appropriate referrals, and provide follow-up care.
13.  Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by policy.
14.  Enforce school policies regarding exclusion and readmission of students from school due to infectious and contagious diseases as recommended by the State Department of Health. Report illnesses to the local Health Department as mandated.
15.  Provide service to school staff by providing care of emergencies, illness, blood pressure monitoring, and serve as a resource for health and wellness issues.
16.  Participate in the development and implementation of health curriculum.
17.  Assist school personnel in maintaining sanitary standards/universal precautions in schools.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, to stoop or bend, to respond to emergencies in a timely manner to any location on the school campus, including playground, practice fields and school buses, and to perform CPR on a student or adult.

 TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Same contract days as teachers: compensation as per salary schedule.

The Clever R-V School District is seeking a full time mechanic for an immediate opening. Under the direction of Transportation Director, the mechanic will perform a full range of skilled mechanical maintenance, diagnostic, inspection and repair duties on school buses, and other District vehicles.  Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have the ability to stand for extended time periods, work from a ladder and do heavy lifting. A valid Missouri CDL with School Bus endorsement (S) and passenger vehicle (P) endorsement is preferred but must be obtained if position is offered. This position is an 11 month position (August-June) and insurance and retirement benefits are provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Stays abreast of any changes in the Missouri State laws or Department of Elementary and Secondary Education rules and regulations concerning transportation and implement/ monitor such rules or statutes. 

  1. Keeps accurate mileage records on all fleet buses. 

  2. Establishes an efficient and effective system of routine maintenance and preventive care of the fleet. 

  3. Maintains a current inventory of supplies and equipment. 

  4. Promotes high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in all work areas of the bus garage and surrounding areas. 

  5. Maintains confidential nature of all school-related matters. 

  6. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with transportation staff, and other district staff as necessary. 

  7. Fill in as a substitute driver when needed.

  8. Maintains all school vehicles and equipment owned by the school district (tractors, trailers, district vehicles).

  9. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Transportation Director, Director of Operations, or Superintendent.

The Clever R-V School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the full time position of Paraprofessional. Requirements include 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting special education teacher in classroom instruction and care of students, which may include hygiene or other duties; maintaining student confidentiality and understanding of student’s IEP; reading tests to students, assisting with notetaking and making other accommodations as indicated on the IEP; assisting teacher in maintaining discipline by monitoring behavior of students, collecting data, and implementing behavior plans; collaborating and working effectively as a team member with peers, classroom teachers and administrators to support student/classroom learning and activities.
